Content responsible: Prof. Dr. Sebastian G. Wicha (address as above). TDMx is non-commercial research and educational software; it is not operated for commercial purposes, and no VAT identification number is therefore held.
TDMx is a research and educational tool. Use of any result generated by TDMx is at the sole risk and responsibility of the user. It does not replace clinical judgement, and dosing decisions remain the responsibility of the treating physician. Although TDMx is developed and tested carefully, no guarantee is given for the accuracy of its results. Individual modules may or may not hold medical device status; this is indicated within each application. By using TDMx, you agree to this disclaimer.
As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages under general law, pursuant to § 7(1) of the German Digital Services Act (DDG). However, under §§ 8 to 10 DDG we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, or to investigate circumstances indicating unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected; any resulting liability, however, only arises from the point in time at which a specific infringement becomes known to us. Upon becoming aware of any such infringement, we will remove the relevant content immediately.
Our site contains links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no control. We therefore cannot accept any liability for this third-party content; responsibility for the content of a linked page always lies with its respective provider or operator. Linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking; no unlawful content was identifiable at that time. Continuous monitoring of the content of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement. Upon becoming aware of any infringements, we will remove such links immediately.

Protecting your personal data is important to us. Below, in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR, we inform you about the processing of personal data in connection with the use of this website and the TDMx dosing applications (Vancomycin, Meropenem, Piperacillin, Linezolid, Gentamicin, Tobramycin, Amikacin, Busulfan, Factor VIII, Infliximab).
The data controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Prof. Dr. Sebastian G. Wicha (contact details as in the imprint above).
When you visit tdmx.eu or one of the TDMx applications, our server infrastructure automatically processes technical access data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, page/URL accessed, browser type and version, operating system, and the amount of data transferred together with the HTTP status code. This data is stored in log files solely to ensure secure, trouble-free operation (e.g. to detect attacks) and is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files rotate automatically and are retained only as long as necessary for this purpose.
The TDMx software modules themselves process the data you enter (e.g. demographics, organ function, doses, measured drug concentrations) only temporarily, in the memory of your active session, in order to perform the pharmacokinetic calculation. This data is never stored in a database or written to the server's disk; when the session ends (e.g. by closing the browser tab), it is irrevocably deleted from memory. Optional export functions (CSV tables, .tdmx save files) are generated dynamically and streamed directly to your browser; they are not retained on our server. You, or your institution, remain responsible for the subsequent storage and protection of any exported files.
As health data (Art. 9 GDPR) may potentially be entered via the TDMx applications, we strongly recommend not using directly identifying information (e.g. full name, complete date of birth), and instead using only pseudonymised or institution-internal patient identifiers. TDMx is a decision-support tool and does not replace documentation in the patient record; the legal basis for processing patient data (e.g. the treatment relationship) rests with the user, or their institution.
The tdmx.eu website itself does not set any cookies. The TDMx dosing applications use a single, strictly necessary cookie for session assignment (load balancing): it keeps your browser connected to the same server instance for the duration of a session, and is required for the application to function. The cookie contains no personal or patient data, only a random technical identifier, and is deleted automatically when the browser is closed. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications-Digital Services Data Protection Act (TTDSG) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
To ensure operational stability, the TDMx applications log the start and end of each session with a randomly generated, non-personal session token, the name of the application, and a timestamp. This operational data is used solely for internal technical monitoring (number of active sessions, resource usage, error diagnostics) on a password-protected dashboard that is not publicly accessible, and contains no input or patient data. Session logs are deleted after 7 days, aggregated operational metrics after 31 days, and error logs after 90 days.
No analytics or tracking services (e.g. Google Analytics), no external fonts or third-party scripts, and no advertising cookies are used. All website and application resources are served from our own server. Your data is not disclosed to third parties unless we are legally required to do so.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), as well as the right to object to its processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact info@tdmx.eu for any such request.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data, e.g. with the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.
